My Photographs
Jiro Yoshihara Interpretation
ISO 400 F/ 5.0 1/50
This photo shoot was based on Jiro Yoshihara. To create these
photographs, I folded up a white piece of paper and then drew different shapes such
as triangles and circles on it. I think took photographs of the paper using
different camera angles, shutter and aperture settings. I then edited these
photographs using Photo shop, and inverted them.
Mind Map Photo Shoot
ISO 400 F/2.2 1/17
This photo shoot was based on the whole theme 'flaws and perfections.' I took photographs of objects that had been ruined such as the floor board, carpet, cabinet, and a dead plant. I photographed these objects as they all had 'flaws' however, I think that the photographs capture the detailed textures which makes them 'perfect.'
Irving Penn Interpretation
ISO 400 F/5.3 1/30
This photo shoot was based on Irving Penn. To create these photographs I emptied a bad out onto a table, and placed the items around the bag. I then photographed it using different camera angles to capture the items.
Aaron Siskind Interpretation
ISO 200 F/2.2 1/60
This photo shoot was based on Aaron Siskind's series of photographs on textures and surfaces. To create these photos, I went to different environments and captured different surfaces such as brick walls, and concrete. I used a variety of different camera angles during this photo shoot, and edited the photos to black and white.
Flower Photo Shoot
ISO 200 F/6.3 1/40
This photo shoot was based on the theme flaws and perfections. I took photographs of two flowers, contrasting the different colours, tones, textures, surfaces and shapes. I chose these two flowers because it relates to my theme as one flower is 'perfection' to some people, and the other flower is 'flawed' because it's dead and doesn't have vibrant colours. However, I think the dead flower is also perfection as in these photographs you can see the details of the veins in the petals.
Petals Re-Shoot
ISO 200 F/6.3 1/20
This photo shoot was based on my 'flower photo shoot.' I decided to take photographs of the individual petals of the 'perfect/blossomed' flower, and the 'flawed/decayed' flower. I placed the petals onto a white piece of card and photographed them using a variety of camera angles. This photo shoot relates to my theme as the photograph of the vibrant petals show how the flower was 'perfect.' Whereas, the photograph of the decayed flowers show, how the flower was dying.
