Edward Steichen - The Flatiron
How does this photograph relate to the theme of flaws, perfections, ideals, compromise? This photograph was taken by Edward Steichen and relates to the theme flaws, perfections, ideals and compromises. In my opinion this photograph is flawed however some people may say it's perfection. I think it's flawed as the trees in the foreground are covering the beautiful building in the background. I think the main focus of the photograph should be on the building not on the trees. The photograph looks quite complicated/busy as there is too many things going on. How can I use the photograph ideas to develop my own photo shoots? I could use this photograph to develop my own photo shoots as the photo looks as if there are different layers which have been combined, therefore I could take photographs of various objects/buildings and then layer then on top of each other, and change the opacity. |

This photograph was taken by Edward Weston, and relates to the theme flaws, perfections, ideals, and compromises. In my opinion, this photograph is perfection, as you can see every single detail on the inside of the shell. I like how you can see how each section adds together to create a spiral. I also like how the background is plain, which makes the viewer focus on the shell and the structure of it. How can I use the photograph ideas to develop my own photo shoots? I could use this photograph to develop my own photo shoots, as I could use the same camera shots (close ups) to create a similar effect. I could also edit the photograph to black and white, as sometimes colours can be distracting. I could also photograph objects that have a lot of detail's and structure's. |
